JOB DESCRIPTION
I. POSITION DETAILS
• Organization: Foreign Language Center (FLC)
• Job title: English Tutor
• Job type: Part-time (short-term and long-term positions)
• Target Applicants: EIU Students
• Reporting to: Direct Manager
II. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• IELTS 6.5 (no individual skill below 6.0)
• Teaching experience: minimum of 6 months or a recognised teaching certificate (e.g. TEFL, TESOL, CELTA)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle requests effectively.
III. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teaching time: must be able to commit to a minimum of six hours per week
• Supervise classes; prepare and deliver engaging, communicative English lessons for students across a range of levels
• Provide constructive feedback to support student learning and progress.
• Report any incidents or problems to Direct Manager
